Year One 2024-25

Over the past few lessons, we have been recapping our knowledge of place value and looking at one more and less than a given number.

In DT we tasted various smoothies ahead of making our own in the next few weeks!

Today, we practiced catching the ball in preparation for a game over the next few weeks. We practiced the two techniques making the letter M and W.

This week we have been introduced to our new topic of cricket. We learnt about the equipment and key vocabulary we need. We then practiced our agility when running with the bat!

In Maths, we have been learning our lefts and rights using the cha cha slide!

Year one had loads of fun this morning in their sports day!

This week, we have been creating a weather diary and interpreted the data.

In PE this week, we’re have been looking at throwing and recapping our prior knowledge!

In Geography, we have been observing and recording what we see in rural areas!

In Maths we started looking at representing a quarter and understanding that four parts make a whole. We used a piece of fruit to help us understand this better!
